How do you turn off negative healing?

Advice

I would like to make a skeleton cleric, but skeletons have negative healing. I was wonder how would you switch that to positive healing? (Outside of homebrew)

Why would I make such a character? Because of a webcomic. "Monsters can be heros too." That's all.

Possibly by being resurrected back into a living body that can survive with positive vital energy. Skeleton life force is void, so there's no real options for switching to your life force outside of your ancestry--excepting that I believe it's the Oracle of Bones that can choose which energy powers their life force each day.

*shrugs*

Homebrew is all I can think of.

I thought there was something with Bones Oracle being allowed to choose each day whether they were Positive Healing or Negative Healing. But it doesn't. That choice is only if they are an Ancestry that is Positive Healing to begin with. If they have Negative Healing it just gives bonuses to their Negative Healing rather than choice.

Not really, its just kind of how undead work. Note that negative energy isn't evil, some good gods offer a harm font for example.

Hey, how do I get all the benefits of a selection but none of the drawbacks?

You would have to wait until level 13, but you could always take the dhampir feat Daywalker.

there's no need to be hostile. It's an honest question.

I am not seeing anything in the skeleton race. Dhampir-daywalker, yes. But not skeleton.

You can be a skeleton with dhampir as your heritage, strange as that sounds. But overall you are going to be stuck with negative healing for a while regardless, keep in mind that you can choose not to target yourself with 3 action heals so you're fine on that front at least.

oh... I get it now. So, which came first the skeleton or the dhampir? Did the vampire turn into a skeleton or did a skeleton just replace its teeth with a vampire's?
