Spheres and mythic feats

Advice and Rules Questions

Hi everybody!

I have a question about mythic feats using spheres of power/might. Do I need to have the actual feat or do the associated feats meet the prerequisites? I can't find info about it :c

You can only take a mythic feat if you already have the non-mythic feat. So, if you want mythic power attack you have to have power attack before you can take the mythic version. This is in the Mythic rule book.

The Mythic Champions of the Spheres book does say "All mythic feats with non-mythic versions require those non-mythic versions as a prerequisite" Makes no mention of Sphere associated Feats so , so probably you need the actual feat, although it could easily be your GM's call

Any mythic feat that has a normal feat equivalent, has that feat as a prerequisite for the mythic version. There are some mythic feats like dual path or extra mythic power that do not have an equivalent normal feat, those are the only mythic feats that can be taken without taking the normal feat first.

I think they meant feats not in spheres of power as they ask if associated feats meet the pre-requisites. That is rather than not taking X to take the mythic X they want to know if X is not in spheres of power by Y is that does something similar. E.g. Arcanist has abilities that allow you to affect your spell selection and the sphere arcanist has similar abilities that allow to you affect your sphere selection.

I haven't really played spheres so not sure of any specific examples. But to use the power attack example above if spheres has no power attack feat but does have an asociated Double Slice Attack feat can they use that instead.

The rules in both Mythic Adventures, and Spheres or Power Wiki specifically state you have to have the non-mythic feat to take the mythic feat. The clip below is directly from the sphere of powers wiki.

Note: All mythic feats with non-mythic versions require those non-mythic versions as a prerequisite.

I don't think you can get clearer than that.

Except they were asking about the feats without non-mythic versions as its not a 1-1 conversion if I understand them right. That is if spheres has power attack and mythic power attack you must take non-mythic power attack. If it has mythic power attack and non-mythic double slice instead of power attack can you attack double slice then mythic power attack or just go straight to mythic power attack.
