I think since we are are wondering why/how the Animist has such a huge budget. I believe part of it is due to a combination of their reduced Spell-casting class feature. Despite having two pool, they only have 2 slots and 1 slot till level 10, which might refund them some points and the fact all of their vessel (Focus) spells are sustain up to 1 minute which really weakens them because for the next 10 rounds they are effectively playing with 2 actions.
Psychic have focus casting too but their is direct 2 action burst damage not a slow burn. That is why I think they got extra slots.
