Using a Rare background on a new character for Organized play

I have a new character I am working on and I would like to use the Magical Experiment background for her. I know it's rare however.

Is there something special I need to do to be able to use that background, it plays into the backstory I have in might for her.

Uncommon and especially Rare options often need a Boon for the character. I'm not sure if there is one specifically for the Magical Experiment background or not. You might ask on the PFS forums too.

I have not seen a boon for the Magical Experiment background yet. I have seen a few rare backgrounds unlocked by scenarios, but not Magical Experiment.

The best place to ask is the Organized Play section. But you'll get the same answers, Rare backgrounds are extremely rare in PFS (I've seen one, and you need to play a specific adventure to get it).
