We are waiting for the Remastered to drop before we start the new campaign about us being undead, I am thinking of being an Vampire/Lich Queen which I got permission to bu I need to know what sort of full-caster class I should go for for both flavor and mechanics for a necromancer. Regardless of the class choice since this is a homebrew setting I will be worshipping a custom Deity of Darkness, Death, Secrets, Undeath and Wyrmkin. The party has 5 people and so far we have 1 war priest cleric going champion, 1 champion, 1 oracle and 1 bard
I need to know would it be safer to play a Cloister Cleric worshipping her future husband. Something she is one hundred percent in love with. Giving her the ability to heal her fellow undead and giving soem strong options.
Or should I go try Animist, it does see good but I am unsure if it does the necromancy divine stuff I want but it does give me a ton of versatility then cleric does since it can give me several more spells to cast I normally could not.

Be careful that the final version of the Animist might end up pretty different from the playtest one.
In your shoes, I would ask the GM if I can go with the Cleric build (great flavor BTW) and ask for a rebuild when the final version of the Animist arrives, if it suits my character and playstyle better.
