Dropping a note for folks that the Apparition's Possession ability of the sage practice has an error.
Instead of "Until the start of your next turn, you are immune to control effects and spells that attempt to influence your actions, such as charm or command, unless its spell rank is more than twice your level", it should say "Until the start of your next turn, you are immune to control effects and spells that attempt to influence your actions, such as charm or command, unless its spell rank is more than half your level."

ROFL, I was about to say:
"So, by level 5 you are immune to all control, even from Tar-Baphon?"
(Level 5x2=10, no spell ranks higher than ten.)
Still needs some work though. Not all control effects are spells, and not all of them have ranks attached to them. In addition, a great number of monsters have access to control spells much earlier than their level might indicate, making the ability near-on useless at earlier levels.
A Harpy's captivating song has no rank or level attached to it. I guess you could go off of creature level, but that's not what the text says.
Same with a Kelpie's lure. No rank attached to the effect.
Another example: Polong is CR 8 meaning it is a moderate challenge for a level 6 party. Just moderate. But it has access to an ability that 'acts as the posession spell' (which is rank 7) meaning that a level 6 animist is vulnerable, even though the Polong isn't that much stronger than them.
A Vampire count is CR 6, but has access to the Dominate spell (spell rank 6), Meaning a level 5 animist is vulnerable. Same problem.
Heck in one AP (won't ruin it for spoilers) there is a weak succubus (CR 6) that you encounter at level 4 or 5, and she has access to dominate (rank 6 spell) meaning you don't get immune to it until you are level 12

Also did you guys purposefully make it so you can't use the "sustain" action or other basic actions like leaping and escaping during the possession?
As a side note thanks for all the hard work you guys do! This has me excited

You can Sustain by gaining abilities that have the apparition trait like Sustaining Dance, but it is supposed to limit what you can do and by and large it does not impose a lot of restrictions under its current format.
As a side note thanks for all the hard work you guys do! This has me excited
You're welcome!
