I'm a bit of a stickler for pronouncing names "correctly" if possible, and I am unsure as to the pronunciation of Sakuachi.

Presuming her name is of Minkaian origin given where she's from, I would expect it's four syllables like Japanese. Sa ku a chi.

I'm not sure if you're saying Japanese names are commonly four syllables (I can think of more examples of names that aren't off than top of my head than are, but I'm not spending much time on it either).

But in any event I agree that the syllables Sa-ku-a-chi seem like they would be the correct ones.

Obviously I'm not saying that... I'm saying it would be pronounced with Japanese syllables, and there's generally only one way to pronounce each one.
