Amp warp step still have manipulate trait?

Rules Discussion

RAW, amp Warp Step only reduces the action using Warp Step without reducing components. But in most cases, one action spell only requires language as the component.

Even if the 4th level amp warp step does not have the manipulate trait, it is not overpowered, because the 3rd level spell Time Jump can have nearly the same use.

Changing the number of actions to cast a spell does not imply removing components from the spell. That would have to be specifically stated.

Yes, but the phrase, "with barely a thought," does. However, I agree it should have been specifically stated and should be run as is in PFS. At home, I'd remove the somatic component for the amped version

It didn't say "with barely a motion." But it wouldn't matter if it did. The entire point of the 2e trait stuff is stop arguments like this arising from the easily confused who can't parse flavor text from rules text.

The "Amp Heightened (4th)" version of the spell specifically adds the 'teleportation' trait.

If the Amp version was supposed to remove one of the spellcasting components, it would have said so.
