Hey all
If I use the abilities of the shiftin jerkin to change a talent of mine namely the ranger combat style to a different combat style.
Do I start at the third level of rcs and work my way down.
Or could I change the first level of rcs and have the rest changed that way?
I think its working down the levels of rcs which is a bit cumbersome but not too bad.
But I find the wording somewhat ambiguous

the armor only lets you swap a (end of feat chain or talent with no children) talent that you qualify for taking 1hr to do so once per day. Essentially the talent you swap out can not have a feat or talent that depends on it. So a Ranger Combat Style(at 2/4, 6, 10) (which produce a Combat Feat) so long as you don't have any Feats that rely on it.
So let's say you took Point-blank shot and then Precise Shot through Ranger Combat Style Archery. You could swap out Precise Shot but not Point-blank Shot. Precise requires Point-blank making Precise the last in the feat chain.
It is best to take basic Feats normally (as you won't be swapping them out anyway) unless you don't qualify (Combat Expertise requires Int 13 and many despise that 'tax' and the Slayer Talent gets around that).
Retraining rules give you another way to reorganize your Feats.
It would seem fair game to me to replace a Slayer Talent Ranger Combat Style feat with the normally chosen Feat at a level gain and choose another feat in the same Slayer Talent Ranger Combat Style with Retraining(cost time & money) that way you keep the exchangeable feat at the end of the feat chain. Your Home GM will have to approve.

from the armor:
"...She can’t swap a talent that is a prerequisites for other talents or feats she has..."
the ranger style feats can be taken without meeting their requirement. so as long as you have the right level (level 2 for the level 2 list. 6 for 6th 10 for 10th) i don't see a problem with switching a feat from the SAME style and level list (so no switching the 2nd level list feat for a 10th level list feat).
if you have more then one feat from a style i don't think you can sweep to an other style while still holding the 1st style feats. it would end with you having 2 styles at the same time. the only way it might work is if you switch to a style that has the same feats (at the same level that you can take them), but even that would need a gm approval.
