Eidolon and Special Weapons / Armor

Rules Discussion

I cannot seem to find an answer/FAQ/errata of how Eidolons interact with non-standard magical weapons and armor.

An Eidolon gains the benefits of fundamental and property runes for weapons and armor invested by the summoner, however how do they interact with special weapons and armor (or for that matter other non-standard rune inscribed magical weapons/armor)?

For context I am playing a summoner (Aasimar heritage human with a Demon Eidolon) and we have recently picked up the Cinder claw Gauntlet. The party decided to give it to my Summoner because that way he has a magical weapon and nobody else wanted the gauntlet as their weapon. While we agreed that the potency and striking runes applied to the eidolon, we were unsure if the critical effect or the activated effect would apply as they are not specifically " property runes".

They are definitely not meant to apply. So your Eidolon would only benefit from the +1 Striking Runes.

From the Gear and your Eidolon rules, only the rune effects or possibly other effects that add item bonuses would apply.

The Eidolon would have its own critical specialization effects for its attacks, and the activated actions of a weapon would still only be part of the weapon itself.
