There's lots of gaps now that APs are every other month (and soon to be rarer). The other adventure formats won't always fill the empty months.

Part of the reason for the bigger gaps after the Drift hackers AP is done is that APs are going to a hard-cover format, so will be released at one time and not spread out over 3 to 6 soft-cover books.
