Heightened polymorph spell

Rules Discussion

Hello, I have a question about the effects from a Huge Battle Form.

One effect from a Huge Battle Form is double damage dice.

Is it only the dice (base) from specific abilities of the battle form ? Or if a feat gives extra dice for an attack, does it double also the extra dice ?

Thanks for your future answer.

Should be double the dice provided by the spell.

Agreed. The heightened effects would be adjusting only the spell description's values.

It is actually a bit questionable if something like Power Attack would be compatible with the specified amount of damage listed by a battle form spell. It is fairly obvious from a balance perspective that you shouldn't be able to combine striking runes effects from Handwraps along with the multiple damage dice listed in battle form spells. Less clear is if things like Power Attack, Sneak Attack, or Panache and Finisher damage should be allowed to combine.

It's probably fine to treat the rune as existing for the extra bonus die from Power Attack, even if it doesn't change the base dice, but I agree I'm not 100% on the RAW for that.

What does this mean? Striking runes don't affect the extra dice provided by Power Attack in any way. It's always one die at levels 1-9, 2 dice at levels 10-17 and 3 dice at levels 18-20. No scaling is based on anything but character level.

It means I'm dumb and thought it worked like Deadly instead of level breakpoints and never double checked.
