Agents of Edgewatch

Has anyone finished this AP? How did it go? Did it hold up accross all six books and have a satisfying end?

My group and I have made it through one AP, Serpents Skull, and while I really liked the first few books, the middle was a bit slow and the end seemed to miss the mark on some concepts.

Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

My group just finished book 3 so we have a long way to go still. While we're waiting for other people to chime in, here's an in-depth review of the AP after completing it in full with separate sections for each book that someone posted on reddit.

Just finished running a full campaign of Agents of Edgewatch. Here are my thoughts!

We're about halfway through book 4 at this point. There have been one or two points that felt a little like a slog, but for the most part (at least to where we're at) I've been having a blast running it, and they players haven't been bored. If I had any complaints, they would only be about the tough critters in the opening book.

This is another one I finished running recently, and I think ultimately I’d rank it last place out of the 4 Pathfinder adventure paths I’ve run to completion. From an individual chapter by chapter perspective, the adventure is pretty enjoyable throughout. There’s nothing that’s horribly written or designed but there’s nothing that blew me away either. The biggest mark against it for me is that the overall story is fairly straightforward and predictable.

A story being straightforward isn’t always a bad thing - just look at Abomination Vaults, an adventure I loved dearly. In AV, you know who your foe is, it’s just a matter of getting to them and navigating all the obstacles and factions along the way. In AoE, you’re trying to find the identities of the people you’re going after, and those answers are either too expected or unsatisfying. There are some plot points that come as a surprise, but most of them elicit more of a “…what?” than a “wow!” It’s still a good adventure path, but I enjoyed running Hell’s Rebels, Abomination Vaults, and Strength of Thousands all more.
