Drift pot crisis: In an instant, the drift pot was stirred, someone had left the drift pot, and others scrambled to meet deadlines. The staff shuffled, promoted, and new hires were found to fill the void. In the end, the insatiable hungry customers received new content and the game went on...
Thought it was interesting in the interview Jason and Jhon talked about why this happens so often at Paizo. It's not OMG Starfinder is coming to an end, it's not. It has more to do with what Paizo does well, produce great content faster than any other game company and produce employees with highly desired skillsets.
More Changes at Paizo! - Digital Divination 062.
It's always sad to see someone leave, best wishes to Jason at his new job, thanks for all the great content!

Hey Nonat, thanks for the vid.
Honestly I think as the RPG industry has expanded and there is new money and companies flowing in, things are a changing, and then some.
Not into GI Joe whatsoever or their other product lines but there are those who are so they are getting some quality peeps these days,
Hope our new Paizo President sees whats going on as the staff is kind of getting picked off in a steady drain to PF II and Starfinder.
Not like the "old days" well D & D or Paizo and you will get X pay or find something else, job opportunities and very viable and higher paying jobs. Very nice to see but Paizo and us GM's and players are taking the hits here as well sadly.
But what a great time for the next generation to step up and get their shot at this hobby of ours.
Paizo really has to start with better pay, union or not, to keep their quality people and even if less products ease the burden or hire more people so the workload is more sustainable.
I hope Paizo does have a great plan for replacements as its getting a tad thin again here :(
Tom
PS
Yep the 5.5 Edition is taking a big bite as well, again top dollar I bet to get the people there, just hope they still have a job after its all said and done. But I think they would'nt dare go that shake and bake then let go everyone like they used to, but one never knows these days!!

I mean, having now borne witness to Thurston's skill as both a GM and designer (thanks in large part to Narrative Declaration), I'd say Starfinder is still in good hands!

NO PRESSURE NO PRESSURE NO PRESSURE! (But thanks for the vote of confidence)
But thanks so much! There's a lot of behind the stuff happening right now, much of which was Keeley's work prior to his departure. That being said, there's exciting NEW stuff that I can't wait for Jason to see now that he can go back to enjoying Starfinder instead of constantly worrying about shipping dates :D
