Magic Hack: Gremlin Companion

Creature companion rules the gremlin companions damage is the same as the damage table from creature companion rules from alien archive 3, and is once every d4 rounds.


In Tech Revolution there is a magic hack for Technomancer's that give it a Glitch Gremlin companion with the Creature Companion Adept feat.

On of the attacks is "Jolt" and it gives the following text for it: Jolt (Su) Every 1d4 rounds, a glitch gremlin can channel an electrical blast as a ranged attack that targets EAC. This ray has a range increment of 30 feet.

This doesn't give any damage or effect for the attack. Normal glitch gremlins get energy ray (electricity only) at will. Is this supposed to be energy ray with the following exceptions, instead of at-will it is once every 1d4 round and instead of close range it is 30 feet?
