If the Support action of an allied Animal Companion deals damage, for example the Bear : "Until the start of your next turn, each time you hit a creature in the bear’s reach with a Strike, the creature takes 1d8 slashing damage from the bear.", does it get the +1 to damage from Inspire Courage ?
Inspire Courage : "You and all allies in the area gain a +1 status bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, and saves against fear effects."

Of course, if the bears's damage is separate, it has to deal with damage resistance separately too.
Can't have your cake and eat it too.
Resistances and weaknesses. Sometimes your cake is extra sweet ;)
I literally just had a low level game where the bear support and a sword both triggered weakness to slashing on a zombie

Also those "allies do 1 extra damage of xxx" abilities like the champion with good aligned damage.

I've heard about both interpretations being used. Either the Bear doing completely separated damage or the Bear adding an extra die of damage.
In general, players prefer the extra die of damage, both because it's simpler to handle and stronger. Having the Bear deal it's own separated damage means double Resistance and more importantly lack of double damage on a critical hit. But it also means double bonuses to damage and double Weaknesses as a (bad) compensation.
