Okay, so I'm kind of new to pathfinder, but what I thought about was going for as much strength as I could. So how does this sound at a 20 point buy in?
half-orc warrior build.
str 20
dex 13
con 12
int 10
wis 7
cha 12
Level progression:
1 ftr
2 ftr
3 ftr
4 ftr
5 sorcerer
6 dragon disciple
7 dragon disciple
8 dragon disciple
9 dragon disciple
10 ftr from here onward.
at lvl 9 I will have 26 str without gear... and I'm planning to use a 2 handed weapon but don't know which way I should do it... any thoughts? I'm half orc for the bite attack which should add nicely to my damage output.

Strength is good, but not necessarily the end-all-be-all. By dumping your Wis and Con so much, you're going to be a dead orc, and dead orc damage is terrible. Dragon Disciple is interesting, but not necessarily something you want to do as a new player. Fighter or Barbarian are the most straightforward options for you.
A better stat spread would be:
Str 18 (base 16+2 racial)
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 8
Wis 14
Cha 7
For the loss of +1 hit and damage, you gained +1 AC, +1 reflex, +1 fortitude, +1 hit point per level, +4 to will saves. That spread works for either fighter or barbarian. Some good feats would be:
1: Power Attack, Toughness
2: Cleave
3: Weapon Focus (Falchion)
4: Weapon Specialization (Falchion), add +1 Strength
5: Iron Will
There, there's 5 levels of a basic 2-handed fighter. Add in the Archetype from the Advanced Players guide for more power. Check out Rogue Eidolon's excellent fighter guide here https://docs.google.com/document/edit?id=15x4he4WAFYNsoeYgNG8KaEjPH2OvzF2dU jiy8BL1h14&hl=en&pli=1#
I hope that helps.

Ah yes, I toyed with getting the extra +4 STR from dragon disciple before. If I were going for a STR build I would probably do the same way as you are. Stats would be simular, I would probably go with a 11 CHA, 8 INT, and 9 WIS.
Neg Wis modifier to your Will save can hurt as a fighter and you don't need 12 CHA if your only getting one lvl in Sorcerer. ;)

You are also losing BAB, potential feats, and the fighter weapon training. You don't want to dump wisdom that much as a fighter or constitution.
You will need the hp since you are on the front line, and you will need the will save bonus so you are not trying to attack your friends or at the least no longer helping them.

A fighter eventually gets a lot of abilities to add to Hit and Damage, making stacking Strength to the exclusion of all else, especially your own survivability, a bad idea. That 5th level character would be swinging at a +11 to attack (more with a masterwork weapon, easily attainable by that level) for 2d4+9, or +9 for 2d4+15 while power attacking, while having 50 hp (assuming average roll and favored class), 21 AC (assuming full plate), +6 Fort +3 reflex +5 Will. A perfectly effective and survivable character.
Add in minor magic items and some buffs (like Bull's Strength and Bardic Music) and he will wreck face pretty hard.

Oh, give him a break! -- His will save made a positive number by 5th level! (lol)
Anyway....

Str 18 (base 16+2 racial)
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 8
Wis 14

But why be stupid and ugly? -- What fun is that?

1st-level dwarf PFS character run the 2nd time today:
STR:15 (rages to 19; will bump at 4th)
DES:12
CON+16 (rages to 22, will bump at 8th/12th)
INT:12
WIS+14
CHA-10
(look, Ma! no stats under 10; DM don't think I'm a min/max cheese-weasel even though I am, because every stat will pull its weight by the end of twelve levels, and saving-throw magic that would wilt a paladin's lance will just bounce right off me.)
1. barb1.
Feat: Raging Vitality
Skills: Diplomacy (+4), Intimidate (+4), Survival (+6), Perception (+6), Profession: Winetaster (+6)
Weapon: MW fauchard (heirloom), battleaxe, sling
Armor: whatever I strip off the dead guys in the 1st encounter.
"Say....that's some mighty fine-lookin' armor you're wearin' there..." *klonk*!
When the fighting is over, I shed the bloody wreck of the armor I "borrowed" (you can't "keep" stuff like that in mods), clean myself up, then pull my tux out of the backpack and go to the high-society end of town for my "day job" gig, and pick up some spare coin while hobnobbing with the elite snobs.
Lesson: You don't need a 20 or an 18 or even a 16 at 1st level to be effective with a +7 att at 1st -- and that heaping gob of stat-buy points you save you can spread around, meaning you won't suck at absolutely everything else you do.

This build is close to being broken.
You basically need a roll of 17-20 for normal Will Saves, which means you will usually spend your time sleeping, paralysed or killing your groupmates.
There is a reason why almost all Players consider Iron Will a "must have" feat by level 5 and never dump Wisdom.

Okay, I just wanted to go for strength for as much damage as I could do possible, didn't plan on being the tank, I'm thinking about switching fighter with the Superstitious Barbarian, that way I can hit even more strength. I can take iron will if I'm not strapped for feats, on top of my level of sorcerer giving me +2 will save and the dragon disciple levels giving me another +2 will, so I think that'll make up for the low wisdom. I have 12 charisma because dragon disciple adds to your previous spellcasting class, and at lvl 4 the sorcerer can cast lvl 2 spells. how about this at 20 pt buy in?
20

10

12
1 barbarian (superstitious)
2 Sorcerer (dragon bloodline)
3 fighter (two weapon fighter)
4 fighter
5 fighter
6 dragon disciple
7 dragon disciple
8 dragon disciple
9 dragon disciple
10 Fighter
and feats: Iron will, power attack, Cleave, Great cleave, extra rage, lunge, step up, following step, step up and strike. I know this is one too many feats buuut, I've still got 10 more levels and this was all I think I needed to map out for the character, might finish off with fighter levels. I think the dips in other classes will help the will save, so it should be fine... maybe.
