What investigator build would you recommend for someone who seeks out missing persons?

I'd say that the Alchemical Sciences or Empiricism methodologies would be a good bet. There are some alchemical tools like a Bloodhound Mask or Forensic Dye could help with tracking down people, but if alchemy is not what you're envisioning then Empiricism makes sense and That's Odd is a good class feat to have for this concept anyway, IMO.

Beyond that, make sure you're boosting your survival skill and Wisdom so that you are very good at tracking. If you are expecting to find the missing person alive, training in medicine wouldn't be a bad idea (which might mean Forensic Medicine would be a third methodology that could work for this concept).

Liberty's Edge

I would go Interrogation methodology and take That's odd as a feat. Going CHA and WIS sounds appropriate to get witnesses to talk and to find tracks and clues.
