So my character Alester is in a gestalt game. He's 4 levels of Eldritch Scion Magus on one side, the other side is one level of IB Swash and 3 levels Oathbound Paladin. I'm using Oath of the People's Council which switches out Smite for Inspire Courage. I'm looking at further levels of Paladin and I'm not sure if I want to keep going in it. He has a fly speed of his own so all the Paladin mount options are kinda useless for him. And the Magus can enhance the weapon just fine.
I was looking through the other classes and found 2 that I think could work. Champion of the Faith Warpriest and the PrC Battle Herald. Both fit the theme and have features that could work well with this guy. Though to get Battle Herald, I would have to dip a level of Cavalier to get Challenge. I'm looking at Saurian Champion for that since it can give me a Pteranodon mount.
Right now, Cha is 18 and Wis is 14. Any feedback?

Inspire Courage is based on Class Level, yes, not character Level. Thus leaving will stunt your buffing.
In Gestalt (if melee not caster) I will always go two Fighter Levels for the Feats, but I also always wait until my BAB (or other) prerequisites are high enough to really maximize usage out of the Feats (FTR Level getting Dodge or Impr Init not exactly like FTR getting Improved Critical.)
Warpriest is another based on Class Level so if you’re watering it down with Levels in other such-Class, you’re nerfing yourself just a bit — not like Wizard or Sorcerer gets nerfed in multi-Classing, but still.
I’d stick Paladin until you get a touch Feat-starved and keep that Inspire Courage getting bigger.
In any case, you seem like you know plenty enough to make the best decisions regarding action economy and other tactical considerations.
Good Luck!

The Healers Handbook has a couple of interesting alternative divine bonds. The Archon allows you to impose a -2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws and AC. This would give you the option of reducing your enemy's effectiveness instead of buffing the party.
You are also giving up access to the paladin's spells. While they may not be as offensively powerful as the magus there are some decent one. Bless weapon allows you to automatically confirm critical hits vs evil opponents. This works really well with an intensified shocking grasp. Hero’s defiance allows you to use your lay on hands as an immediate action instead of a swift. Litany of Righteousness is another swift action spell that allows you to deal double damage to an evil creature. This again works well for a magus.
The Champion of the faith is a Wisdom based class and your Wisdom is a little on the low side. Since your other class is CHA focused changing that will not work well. Battle Herald is ok but seems to lack anything really good. My advice would be stick with paladin or maybe go back to swashbuckler.
