Disapperance vs feary fire / see invisibility / glitter dust

Rules Discussion

There was a thread where disappearance was mentioned a bit more than a year ago. But there was no conclusive answer to this question:
What's the interaction between disappearance and feary fire/see invisibility/glitter dust. What it comes down to in my opinion is, are you just invisible or is undetected to all senses something more(different) than invisibility and can therefor not be negated by this spells.

You shroud a creature from others' senses. The target becomes undetected, not just to sight but to all senses, allowing the target to count as invisible no matter what precise and imprecise senses an observer might have.

The intent of the spell is to improve on the Invisibility spell. Invisibility only hides the target from vision. Other precise or imprecise senses still work - such as scent, or tremorsense.

It's still possible for a creature to find the target by Seeking, looking for disturbed dust, hearing gaps in the sound spectrum,

This starts indicating to me that the spell does not automatically negate any other effects that would allow detecting a disappeared creature.

or finding some other way to discover the presence of an otherwise-undetectable creature.

And that pretty much seals the deal.

So yes, Glitterdust, True Seeing, Faerie Fire, and other such things that can overcome Invisibility will also work against Disappearance.

Horizon Hunters

Disappearance doesn't make you invisible, it screws with the senses of everyone around you to prevent them from detecting you.

The spell makes you Undetectable, and reminds you that means you are basically invisible. So we don't look at the Invisible condition, but the Undetected condition.

That sounds like the same thing that the Invisibility spell does too.

I am not referencing either condition.

Things that can overcome Invisibility (the spell) will also work against Disappearance.

So for things like Glitterdust and Faerie Fire, sure you still can't see the creature - but you can see the glitter/flames.

Liberty's Edge

Disappearance basically makes you Invisible to all senses. It does not negate ways to find Invisible creatures that do not rely on perceiving them through another sense.

I think this is the clearest expression of Disappearance here.
