Does the possessor's mental damage taken when possessed is hit count as magical damage?

I'm wondering if invidiak would have 5 or 10 resistance vs mental damage it receives when its host is hit

There is no invidiak in any of the Alien Archives. What is the source material? Also, do you mean would a possessing entity take damage if the creature they are possessing takes damage? (Incidentally, if this is in reference to something published in an Adventure Path, or AP, you might have more luck posting this in the forum for AP questions, with the AP that the question is for included in the question/subject line.)

Answering for the intended system for when this gets moved.

That mental damage when the host is damaged is an effect of the Possession trait on the Possession spell the Invidiak uses. I don't see any reason to think that the damage from this magical source would not be magical damage.
