Greater Angelic Aspect and Over-coming Damage Reduction Good?

Angelic Aspect gives you the abilities of Lesser Angelic Aspect and, among other abilities, it gives you: In addition, your natural weapons and any weapons you wield are considered good-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

Greater Angelic Aspect gives you the abilities of Lesser Angelic Aspect and a slew of other abilities, but does not cross-reference the regular Angelic Aspect spell. The slew of abilities Greater Angelic Aspect gives you does NOT include making your weapons good-aligned for the purpose of damage reduction.

So it appears, RAW, Greater Angelic Aspect, does not confer the ability to over come good damage reduction.

Is this true? Was it ever corrected in an errata? I can't think of another example of a spell where the greater version did not confer all the benefits of the prior version.

Yup, seems like you're correct.

My assumption is that this is likely an oversight, so I'd probably gove it to a player, but that's very much in homebrew territory.

I just found THIS THREAD referencing another problem with Greater Angelic Aspect (TLDR: Greater Angelic Aspect improves your ability to fly, but by RAW doesn't give you the ability to fly).

My guess is that Greater Angelic Aspect should say this:

Angelic Aspect, Greater wrote:

This spell functions like lesser angelic aspect, except you gain ...

The problem is that you would then have to read 3 spells to find out what the greater version does. It seems likely that the "reading 3 spells is too many" issue was caught in editing but the full implications of the changes weren't.

It's a typo. Greater Angelic Aspect should have said "This spell functions like angelic aspect, except. . ."

That's how literally every other "series" transmutation works. Beast Shape, Undead anatomy, etc.
