So I was reading through the new operative alternate class feature sniper. As worded it replaces trick attack, it doesn’t remove debilitating trick, which as worded doesn’t function without trick attack. Is that an oversight? Or was it intended that way?

I can only assume the intent was that you'd have debilitating trick trigger off hitting + succeeding the skill roll for your Sniper ability. I really hope it gets fixed.

Honestly, I'm not sure of the intent. With the precedent of all of the abilities that let you trick attack with full damage weapons including a "no TA damage" clause (even if it was possible to work around for unarmed), it wouldn't be crazy for an ability that does allow (reduced) TA bonus damage to a weapon with full-sized damage dice and full level specialization to deliberately not be Trick Attack, or able to use the debillitations.

Could go either way. Good time to hit the FAQ button.

If the intent is to not get debilitating on it, then it really should replace the ability rather than being a dead ability.

Idk where to post it on the faq. And it hasn’t been updated for tech revolution

This is the right place to post it. People just need to also hit that button over your post that says "FAQ".

Thanks for the question (and for hitting that FAQ button!)
The errata has been updated to reflect that this ability counts as a trick attack for the purpose of other operative abilities, such as debilitating trick.

Did we ever figure out if Stunt & Strike also counted as a trick attack for other operative abilities (for example, for the purposes of the skill bonus from one's operative specialization)?

We haven't yet, I'm afraid.
