When do you get pdfs? After non-subscribers?

I'm new to adenture path subscriptions, and signed up to get Strenth of Thousands 3 and 4.

It looks like the pdfs are available now to buy, but says pdfs will be in my downloads once the paper version ships. But the paper version ships in 11 to 20 days!

This seems like a pretty bad deal for subscribers. Is this correct or is there a way to get the pdfs now?

Subscribers receive their PDFs when their order is shipped. This can happen before or after the street date depending on the vagaries of chance.

If your order isn't being shipped for 11 days, then you do not get the PDFs for 11 days. The benefit of subscription is not early or street date access to the PDF, the benefit is getting a free PDF in addition the hard copy.

If all you want are PDFs, you can buy them for retail price on the street date without the need for a subscription.

... because Paizo stubbornly refuse to cater to digital subscribers, even though the current model results in situations like this, where a customer wants to support the company via an ongoing subscription and is punished for their loyalty.

I cancelled my subs for this very reason.

Subscribers get their PDFs when their books ship, which means that the very first wave of shipments to go out sometimes get their PDFs before street date. If you signed up for the subscription closer to or after the street date, your order will obviously take time to be packed and shipped, thus delaying your PDF.
