Bastard Sword is d8 or d12, not d8 or d10, but that aside...
The text they use for Dancing is "It uses the weapon’s normal damage".
I think you're going to encounter variation on what that means. Is "normal" what's listed on the chart? Or could it mean how the weapon was wielded when the rune was activated?
It's probably just going to come down to a GM call, but I would wager that the majority of respondents will side with what's listed on the chart (d8).

What Nefreet said. I think most GMs will read the text as implying the listed damage die for the weapon itself, i.e. a d8, not a d12. That being said, this ability can be used on two-handed weapons to begin with, so it's not like letting it use the two-handed version of a bastard sword's damage is going to break anything from a balance perspective, so I wouldn't be surprised if people just kind of ignore that and let it work anyway.

This weapon can be wielded with two hands. Doing so changes its weapon damage die to the indicated value.
Effect: You Release the weapon and it dances through the air...
By RAW, when you activate the Dancing rune, you release the weapon. Which means that you are no longer wielding it. Which means that you are not wielding it in two hands. So the weapons damage would go back to the normal one handed damage.
But I agree with Aw3som3-117. It isn't a broken, overpowered houserule to allow it to use the higher damage die.
