"Junk Technomancy" Questions

My players and I recently got the new Tech Revolution book and one of them is currently playing a lvl 3 "Junkomancer" archetype technomancer and loves the inclusion of Junk Technomancy but is confused, and frankly so am I, about a few things listed in the book. He wants to switch, and it would make since for his character as well to have chosen this at lvl 1, but the questions are bugging us.

1. Are the spells added, "Junk Armor" and "junk sword", in addition to 1st level spells learned?
2. What does it mean when you learn and cast "Junk Armor" as a spell level higher than level 1, we thought it only stays at level 1?
3. Do you create the armor upgrade when you create the armor or do you have to install that?

I'm sorry if these questions are obvious to some, we are new to the game by about 2 months and could use some help. thank you.

No expert here but heres a shot at answering this.

1. reads that way to me, you add the 2 spells to 1st level spells known.
2. I have not seen anything saying there is multiple levels of Junkarmor so I am guessing a mistake?
3. Not by the looks of it. You gain a slot, not an upgrade from reading it.

1. Yes, they are in addition to.
2. I think they confused junk armor being a multitier spell like junk sword. You probably get junk sword only at higher levels.
3. You only gain the slot, you can then install an upgrade you have on hand.

They made the same mistake thinking Junk Armor has multiple levels in COM, had to errata the way it was included in the Junk cache techmonancer option. Just ignore that part.
