Starfall damage per force bolt.

Rules Questions

Hello
I am playing an Arcanist and just reached level 12 and gained level 6 spells. I am confused by the Starfall spell and need help to figure out the damage of each bolt.

Here is the spell discerption as it appears for my character in Herolab.

Spell Name: Starfall
Arcanist level 6
Casting Time 1 action
Components V, S
Range close (25 + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one creature/level
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw DC 21 Reflex half; Spell Resistance yes
Caster Level 12
Vs. SR +12
Concentration Check +17
Cast Defensively +21 vs. DC 27

You release a number of powerful force bolts from your body equal to your level. Each strikes a creature within line of sight. No more than 3 bolts can strike a single target. Creatures struck take 3d12 hp damage, and a Reflex save halves that damage. Those that fail their saving throw are also blinded and knocked prone.

Appears in: Deep Magic, Midgard Player's Guide, Zobeck Gazetteer

Is the damage a) 1d12 per bolt or b) 3d12 per bolt?

Sovereign Court

Probably move the thread to Homebrew and Houserules since it's a 3rd party spell.

Starfall. That said, its 3d12 per bolt, and up to 3 bolts can target a specific creature.

The spell is a bit of a mess, it has the force keyword and the fluff mentions bolts of force... but it does untyped damage, not force damage.
