The Middle Nations: Looking for one more!

Recruitment

Hello,

After a considerable hiatus, I am looking to resurrect my campaign, set in the Middle Nations.

You can find the original recruitment thread HERE.

As I'm restarting the game, I thought I might recruit one more player to join my band of heroes, off to re-open an adventurers' guildhouse, off in the farmland.
If you like the premise and think you can work with the character creation rules (please see the original recruitment thread), then please let me know. ^_^

I have read your original recruitment and will give some thoughts to what would be fun.

Interested. Based on party composition, I am thinking a Timelorn Gelnet Sorcerer. Perhaps something dreadful will happen debasing the Gelnet and elevating the lesser races, and I/my family was sent back to prevent it.

What is the timeline for producing full crunch and background?

Let's try for this sunday, if that's doable for you both.

Having read over the basic synopsis. I too wish to escape rhe city and be covered in horseshi- i mean the quiet peace of a rural lifestyle.

Ill see what i can come up with.

OK, here goes. I will need guidance on good Gelnet names.

Background: If selected, I will work with you to figure out the details. Essentially, though, something bad happened to the Gelnet in the future. As punishment for unspecified crimes, I was sent back to stop it. I severely overshot by centuries, to the point that anything I do will be naturally healed by the timeline, unless I do something drastic enough to render the future unrecognizable. I have no ranks in Knowledge(History), but am determined to try and accomplish something I remember as having been impressive, so I'll know that the people of the future respect something I've accomplished, at least.

(It may be that the event I've been sent to prevent is totally fictional, my exile in the past is purely punishment, and the overshooting is on purpose to ensure my trip is of the one-way variety. If so, I don't know that, and am convinced that I was meant to stop some past event that is now far in my future).

My crimes were of the white-collar variety, probably some form of fraud, and although I'm a very smooth talker and capable of breaking and entering, I'm not particularly tough-looking.

Stats and Basics:

CN Psychic Bloodline Sorcerer

(Note: If you don't like CN characters, I'm open to changing his outlook. My idea is that he's out for himself but not sinister, a Moist Von Lipwig type, who prefers to coast on his charisma rather than do honest work. In this case, his desire to be responsible for impressive past events is what will lead him to cheerfully accept plot hooks and loyally work with the party).

0 Str 10 -2 = 8
5 Dex 14
3 Con 13
2 Int 12
0 Wis 10 -2 = 8
10 Cha 16 +4 = 20

HP: 8 (6 (6 class) + 1 (1 Con) + 1 (Favored Class))
Saves:
Fort: 2 (+0 (Class) +1 (Con) +1 (Racial))

Atk:
8/day, Psychic Strike

(Equipment TBD if selected)

Feats, Traits, Class Features, Skills:

Traits:
Timelorn
Criminal (Disable Device)
Extremely Fashionable (Diplomacy)
Paranoid (Drawback) - This is based on his fear of retribution from current or past enemies, as well as his knowledge of his superiority as a Gelnet. However, someone naturally inclined to mistrust others would be a good candidate to work in an area where the untrustworthy are known to flock.

Feats:
1 Technologist

Race Features:
Materialistic: +2 to Appraise on nonmagical goods containing precious metal/stone
Obsessive: +2 to Knowledge(Engineering)
Crown of earthly merit: Gelnet naturally produce a unique type of pink gemstone, which grows upon their brow. At every level-up, starting with level 1, the gem 'ripens' and falls off, making room for a new gem to grow. The gem's value equals the Gelnet's character current level x 100 gp, and they are freely bought and sold in the city. There are procedures to induce accelerated gem growth, many of which are highly hazardous to the Gelnet's health.
Dress for the occasion: Fabricate Disguise 1/day
Mantle of Vanity: Endure Elements 1/day

Class Features:
Arcana: Spells are psychic, use thought and emotion compontents instead of verbal and somatic
1st level power: Psychic Strike, 8/day, Will save (DC 16) or 1d6 damage and shaken one round

Spells: 4 1st level per day
Known:
4 cantrip: Detect Magic, Ghost Sound, Mage Hand, Message
2 1st level: Mage armor, silent image

Skills (3/level)
AC check penalty: 0
Diplomacy: 9 (1 rank, 5 cha, class)
Disable Device: 7 (1 rank, 2 dex, 1 trait, class)
Sense Motive: 3 (1 rank, -1 Wis, class)

Background:
Craft (Mechanical): 5 (1 rank, 1 int, class)
Knowledge (Engineering): 4 (1 rank, 1 Int, 2 race trait)

So far, only BelacRLJ has put in a completed character.

Trawets 71, TarkXT, if I don't hear from you guys by wednesday, I'm going to assume you're no longer interested.

No, go for it. I couldnt put anything together to my satisfaction and other things dragged my attention.

I have completed Scarlet Grey for your campaign. I hope she is up to your standards. Feel free to send me a message as to any changes/questions you have.

One thing I didn't ask before I applied, and perhaps should have, was, are you wishing us to make a 1st or 2nd-level character? I did notice that most of your players still around are level 1, but I wasn't sure if you wanted to move them to level 2 and have the party be at that level after so long a time passing.

I am unsure of what they've accomplished or what milestone they may have hit. If you would like me to advance my character, I can easily do so if I get in.

Alright, I've decided: Scarlet Grey has gotten the job!

I thank everyone else who showed an interest.
Maybe there will be more slots open in the future. ^_^ I hope to see you then.

Thank you for the acceptance!
