Now we all know that ammunition can be enchanted and some of the things that can be put on it are obvious like flaming.
But ammunition doesn't have a table in Ultimate Equipment or anything like that.
Taking flaming for example, it appears in both Melee and Ranged and I've always thought this could be put on a bow or similar. But unlike some enchantments such as Keen it doesn't actually specify what it can be put on which I assume means it can be put on any weapon.
I started wondering about all this after looking through some spells and noting that Keen Edge can be used on a set of 50 ammunition similar to enchanting them. But the Keen enchantment is only in the melee category. Now arrows in their description do say they can be used as a improvised melee weapon but so could anything really. So could Keen be put on arrows? Plenty of people have wanted a Keen enchantment for ranged weapons and I even home brewed an equivalent after finding a Keen Longbow in Second Darkness that was no longer valid in Pathfinder.
But could we have been putting Keen on arrows all along? And if so are other melee enchantments available for ammunition? Are we meant to exclusively use ranged weapon qualities and if so which ones?
Where is the list of ammunition enchantments?

From continued reading it seems like any enchantment that doesn't specify what exactly it can be placed on appears in both lists and could presumably but put on a folding chair for all it matters.
But this doesn't answer the whole Keen question, from the Keen Edge spell it seems like it's viable to make ammo Keen temporarily but enchantment makes it seem like it can't be permanently. If this is a balance choice it doesn't make much sense to me.

Also the Rusting enchantment.
It states that it drops flakes of rust and corroded metal which makes it sound like it can only be put on a metal weapon but it doesn't specify this and it does appear in the Ranged Weapon table.
Do I have a Wooden Longbow that is rusting? As a GM I'd say it only made sense to go on metal ammunition or melee weapons.

Keen: This ability doubles the threat range of a weapon.
Only piercing or slashing melee weapons can be keen.
Arrows: An arrow used as a melee weapon is treated as a light improvised weapon (–4 penalty on attack rolls) and deals damage as a dagger of its size (critical multiplier ×2).
No, keen can't be put on an arrow.
As a melee weapon, an arrow is an improvised weapon, so it can't be masterwork and can't be enchanted as a melee weapon.
P. 139 of Ultimate Equipment has an expanded list of what can be put on ranged weapons.
P. 141 of Ultimate Equipment has a list of what can be put on ammunitions.

I reckon some unhinged Brawler will try and get one. Get WWE up in here!

There is a battle ladder, and it's a genuine weapon!
