A couple of possibly silly questions about General feats

Hi all,

There seem to be quite a few level 1 General feats, but as far as I can see you do not get a General Feat at level 1 by default. So the first question is am I missing something or am I correct about that?

The second question is, assuming I am right, how badly would it break things just to give the option of an extra General feat to everyone at first level?

Human's can gain a 1st level general feat with both the Versatile Heritage as well as the General Training ancestry feat.

Granting every ancestry a 1st level general feat wouldn't really be too game breaking imo, but would step on the Human's toes quite a bit. Then again, being able to take 3 general feats at first is just good for the human's. Though the number of them that would be useful to a particular build is limited. Basically, expect everyone to take their preference of Fleet, Incredible Initiative and Toughness most likely.

Also, the level is the minimum requirement to select the feat (as well as potentially other requirements). They could have made them all level 3, but then the poor humans would lose out on one of their advantages.

Human Ancestry is strong enough to be able to take the hit tbh. Natural Ambition as well as the exclusivity to half-elf and half-orc heritages not to mention the amazing Multi-Talented.

Thanks everybody. The reason that it matters to me is that as part of the setting material for my homebrew world I created a General feat that, in some circumstances, had to be taken at exactly first level. Oops.

I think I am just going to go ahead tell the players they can have an extra General feat (I have already said that they start with an extra Ancestry feat at first level, simple enough to make that Ancestry or General).
