My local group is playing through some Year of the Open Road scenarios. How should we fill out the reputation section of the Chronicle? The top right corner of the chronicles have a section formatted like this: Faction __|__. The Faction part is self explanatory, but I don't see any instructions on what numbers should be before and after the vertical bar.
The field left of the vertical bar is shaded gray, which I believe means the GM is supposed to fill it out. That suggests that the number on the left should be the rep gained in the module (and the right would be the new total?) That seems consistent with recording Gold and XP, but this thread for recording rep in Starfinder suggests it should be the starting reputation.

Is it different in Pathfinder Society? Or am I misunderstanding something?

I believe the most common was the amount gained in the grey box, and the new total to the right of it. Some people would squeeze the previous value in to the left and draw their own divider line.

It is super annoying. For Starfinder I advocated hard for an X+Y=Z format. I figured that was universally the easiest to understand, but apparently nobody at Paizo agreed.
For PFS2, assuming Chronicle #1 is worth 4 Rep, it would be formatted like "+4|04". And then Chronicle #2 would be "+4|08". Etc.
Just wait until you see the Season 2 Chronicles...
