Hello, near the end of the adventure, inside the first big bad's personal chest is an item. A very old map, the exact description is as follows;
"a very old map that depicts some strange-looking dungeon,"
It does not explain anywhere what this is a map too? Is this just up to me as the GM to decide (totally cool with that explanation, already have some ideas,) but if it is not just up to me to decide, what is the answer? My players are totally going to want to discover the purpose of this map.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this and answer, even if I already answered it myself and it is truly just a map to potentially be a lead into a new self-made adventure.

No, it isn't a map for any specific location, so feel free to tell your players whatever you want about it.
If you decide that it's not a map that you will create yourself, there are a few things you might do with it
a) It might be the map for the Scar, which is a dungeon in the adventure "Troubles In Otari".
'Troubles In Otari' is a follow-on adventure for Beginner Box characters, and if they show the map to Vandy Banderdash, the head priestess at the Dawnflower Library in Otari, she will notice its resemblance to a sketched map in Thida Aubade's notes.
b) It might be a map for part of whatever scenario/adventure/adventure path you decide to run next, and thus be a story link for your group to follow.
c) It might remain unidentified until some future time, but be a theme that your group can constantly be asking about when they run across a Pathfinder headquarters, or even be the link that sends them to Absalom to check out the Pathfinder headquarters there.
d) It might remain unidentified until some future time when you as GM say, "Kyra, this place seems strangely familiar. You notice x, y, and z that remind you of the old map you found in the chest in your first adventure. "
That way you can give your group a freebie if you think knowing the layout of a particular part of an adventure would be helpful.
