Scalding Spit and Sneak Attack

Rules Discussion

Is Scalding Spit (Goblin ancestry, lvl 9) specifically worded so it would not work with a sneak attack?

It seems nothing is stopping it from working with Precision (Ranger Hunter's Edge). So why not Sneak Attack?

Scalding Spit is a ranged unarmed attack. But that is not in the list that Sneak Attack requires.
If you Strike a creature that has the flat-footed condition with an agile or finesse melee weapon, an agile or finesse unarmed attack, or a ranged weapon attack, you deal an extra 1d6 precision damage. For a ranged attack with a thrown melee weapon, that weapon must also be agile or finesse.
Sneak Attack will allow ranged WEAPON attacks, but Scalding Spit is a ranged unarmed attack. Its not an agile or finesse unarmed attack either.

Technically not allowed, but probably should be. Talk to your GM.

I dont think precision edge really has any place in this question, though, since precision edge has no weapon type restrictions at all.
