Does resurrection or true ressurection heal ability drain?

Rules Questions

Hello,

i was looking for the anwser of the question stated in the title, "Does resurrection or true ressurection heal ability damage?".

At first, the scenario, why do i ask this question?

My party, a rogue, a paladin, a sorc, a bard and an occultist were pushing through a desolated area on anthoer plane of existens. We battled encounter after encounter until we reached our last foe, a nightwing.

We battled the monster and won this battle, but our rogue and our paladin were struck down by its blows.

The party found some loot from the monsters stash and received a cauldron of resurrection. They used the cauldron and the materials to cast resurrection on the paladin.

The paladin now back to life, was asked to resurrect the rogue with ultimate mercy, which requires a fixed amount of lay on hands. Due to the string of different encounters the paladin suffered a lot of charisma drain and is no longer able to use ultimate mercy, because he dropped below the required amount.

Here is my train of thought on this topic:
Resurrection and true resurrection are based on raise dead. This sentences taken from resurrection for example says this: "This spell functions like raise dead," and raise dead has a simple comment on abiltiy damage and not drain, which is "Any ability scores damaged to 0 are raised to 1".

So in general i would say, (True) resurrection does not heal any ability drain but damage as stated in raise dead, but this little sentences here in (True) resurerection throws in a lot of confusion: "Upon completion of the spell, the creature is immediately restored to full hit points, vigor, and health, with no loss of prepared spells."

Ability damage and drain are not explicitly called here, but other changes are strictly mentioned, such as condition of fthe body to resurrect or time period for possible resurrection. To solve this question, i guess an answer to "What is vigor and health?" is needed.

Thanks for you help!

I would rule that if you use the resurrection ability of the cauldron, then yes, they are completely restored.

Considering how True Resurrection creates a completely new body out of literally nothingness, it may not be strictly RAW, but hell yeah is ability drain removed. How could it not? The only thing not entirely new is the recipent's soul, which I doubt is affected by ability drain.
