Is there a way to gain a swim speed for a PC?

I think this probably isn't the best forum for the question, and that either the PF1 or PF2 forums (depending on which this is meant for) would be a better fit. As it is, an answer like "Yes, be a wetlander lizardfolk" for PF2 wouldn't help if the question was meant for 1st edition (or reverse examples).

Was looking for 2e. Wondering if there is something I can do or a feat I can take that allows a swim speed for PFS2.

It depends on the character. Barbarians have Raging Athlete to get a Climb and Swim speed while raging. Humans can get Bonuwat Wavetouched, though that requires Bonuwat Ethnicity (but might be accessible via an AcP boon to get access to another culture's options). On my water themed Champion, I took Viking Dedication, which doesn't give a Swim speed, but does make successes with Athletics to Swim count as critical successes. Combined with Assurance and depending on the DC and your base speed that can mean a 10-20 foot swim without a roll.

EDIT: Add swim fins into the mix for another 5-feet if you know you're going to be in the water.

Unfortunately doesn't look like it will help me then. I have a Witch with a Pirate Dedication (think Uma from Disney). So she is a half-elf from The Shackles

Do you have any fame on the character? Multicultural Training is only 2 fame and tier 0. Given that The Shackles are in the same general part of the world as the Bonuwat, and that Bonuwat are often taken by pirates, it seems like there’s enough justification for it in backstory. But if the character never earned any fame, I don’t see multicultural training on the AcP list.

I would just stock up on those Elixirs that give you a Swim speed, to use when you absolutely need one, and then pick up some swim fins and go snorkeling during your Downtime.

Thanks for the advice.

The dragon turtle scale is a much cheaper way of getting a swim speed but requires you to be expert in athletics.
