I'm preparing some interesting sea adventures (I hope so of course) for players and I want to use SEA Serpent. We generally play as much as possible using RAW. From here I have questions about sea serpent:
1)Shouldn't this monster be aquatic or Amphibius? If not, how much can it withstand underwater. (especially if the lair is under water as described)
2)How exactly does sea serpent algae work? ( action, aura)
3)finally, is there a description for capsize somewhere? (what is happening with the ship, how much time is sinking)
I will be grateful for your help :)

1) I feel that it not having the amphibious or aquatic trait was a simple oversight. Having to hold its breath normally makes 0 sense of it's building underwater graveyards
2) if you look at the Ranged Attack Water Spout, you see that it lists sea serpent algae, which is a poison. When it hits with the ranged attack, it applies the poison as normal for afflictions.
3) the only place capsize seems to appear is in descriptions of Capsize attacks like in sea serpent and other aquatic monsters. So I don't know on that one, might be at the GM Fiat dealership, unless there's some other source the AoN doesn't have in it

1)I think so, especially since, for example, Orka is not aquatic but has a rule that it holds its breath for up to 2 hours. So is the dolphin. Anyway, I found that the 1 ed sea serpent was aquatic.
2)
I wonder if this attack works underwater
3)I'll look in the rules - maybe the ship can't move and takes water

If a ship is capsized, it's on its side or upside down. This means it's useless, starts sinking, and all occupants on deck are now in the water.
Looking at similar creatures, Sea Serpents should be Amphibious. Otherwise they would need to hold their breath when out of water, and unless you plan on making your players fight in the water would be pretty annoying for you.
There was a Quest where you fight baby sea serpents on the deck of a boat, so I would assume they would at least be amphibious.
And yes, Water Spout works underwater. There's no rules saying it wouldn't. It's just going to have a decreased range.
