Ordered PDFs not showing up in My Downloads, never got order email

On January 13th I attempted to order some PDFs. They never showed up in My Downloads, nor did I ever get an order confirmation email. The PDFs remained in my shopping cart.

I was, however, charged for the full price of the downloads. I sent an email to customer service about either having the paid-for downloads being made available to me, or receiving a refund. I never got a response. At this point, I am not interested in the downloads anymore, and I would just like my money back. I would appreciate it if my email was responded to.

Our apologies that we haven't responded to your email yet. Customer Service is still backed-up from the holidays.

Normally our system is only supposed to authorize a payment method when you submit an order, and only charge when the order ships or the PDFs become downloadable. However it looks like something went wrong with your order, for which we apologize. I have alerted our tech team to this issue and will be responding to your email shortly.
