Slinger's Reflexes: Reloading problem

20th level feat. Most of the gunslinger reactions require a loaded gun. (Except for Instant Return and Hit the dirt! both of which are pretty situational.) Unless I missed something terribly important, you still can't reload a gun except on your turn.

Am I reading this right?

This is true, and with the weapons we currently have, sorta problematic. Maybe this will be better with additional weapons that Gunslingers will have access to in the future? Wasn't there an NPC in a module somewhere who had a pistol with 4 barrels? Or was that PF1? I can't find it atm.

Grit and Tenacity doesn't require a reaction, but it's 1/hour anyways. Pistolero's Retort can use a melee weapon but requires an enemy to critically fail an attack against you.

Slinger's Reflexes seems like there are builds for which it'd be a good choice for, but I'm not sure that taking all those reaction-based features that conflict/compete with each other would be worth it just to justify a choice you make for the last level in the game.

PF1 had an AP where the #2 boss (from the top, part of the final battle) had two four-barrel guns. I believe he could unload all 8 shots the first round and then would drop them to melee. Since they were touch attacks...OUCH! (Actually it wasn't too bad since a Heal could undo that automatically, but he wasn't the boss.)
