Antipaladin build - story

Advice

Hello ppl,

I’m new to Pathfinder system, i was a 3.5e player and i started a campaign three weeks ago.

Atm I’m sorcerer level 2 CE, and i found this alternative class and my DM give me OK with this change, but i need to do this InGame.

I’m looking for ideas and advice about the build.

Human - AntiPaladin Oath of Vengeance

Str: 15
Dex: 8
Con: 10
Int: 10
Wis: 8
Car: 18 + 2 racial + 5 level = 25

Level 1 - AntiPaladin - Power Attack/ Noble Scion of War
Level 3 - AntiPaladin - Weapon focus Scimitar
Level 5 - AntiPaladin - Hurtful
Level 7 - AntiPaladin - Cornugon Smash
Level 9 - AntiPaladin - Dazzling Display
Level 11 - AntiPaladin - Shatter Defenses
Level 13 - AntiPaladin - Quick draw (i will use light steel shield to get more AC if necessary)
Level 15 - AntiPaladin - Hands of Valor
Level 17 - AntiPaladin - Intimidating Prowess
Level 19 - AntiPaladin - Extra Touch of Corruption

The most basic way is through the retraining rules, which is downtime and costs money. A GM might create an in-game event where it just happens, such as a dark patron granting you more physical powers if your character wanted them, and so on.

I'd consider putting your level 4 attribute increase into Strength instead of Charisma to better round out your stats.

I'd use a two-handed weapon, which gives the added damage while maintaining free hand functionality for your touch of corruption.

OK got it.

I created a scenario with which my character believes he is an ascending deity who seeks to sacrifice his arcane blood to emerge as a new ideal, to end people's suffering.

my DM accepted this suggestion and we will do the re-training.

another doubt, with ToC can I heal myself correctly? because it does not say in ability that it is negative energy.

New progression character:

Human - AntiPaladin Oath of Vengeance

Str: 17
Dex: 8
Con: 14
Int: 10
Wis: 9
Car: 14 + 2 racial

Level 1 - AntiPaladin - Fey Foundling/ Noble Scion of War
Level 3 - AntiPaladin - Power Attack
Level 5 - AntiPaladin - Weapon focus Scimitar
Level 7 - AntiPaladin - Hurtful
Level 9 - AntiPaladin - Cornugon Smash
Level 11 - AntiPaladin - Dazzling Display
Level 13 - AntiPaladin - Shatter Defenses
Level 15 - AntiPaladin - Quick draw (i will use light steel shield to get more AC if necessary)
Level 17 - AntiPaladin - Hands of Valor
Level 19 - AntiPaladin - Intimidating Prowess

It is indeed a negative energy effect, so it would still harm you if you tried to use it on yourself.

I'd look into abilities or feats that treat you as Undead for the purposes of this ability, though as a Human, they would be very limited. Of course, the GM could houserule that the ability works to heal yourself only, using the powers of darkness to recorrupt your very soul, but again, it's a houserule.

Nope, touch of corruption can't heal you unless you're undead. This is one of the things paladins do better than antipaladins, along with actually being able to smite things in a typical campaign.

I'd look into getting a conductive weapon so that you can deal your touch of corruption damage after hitting with your scimitar. For further advice, I'd recommend speaking to the expert, or reading Marshmallow's Guide to your Optimal Antipaladin.

Thx alot both of you for the tips!

Undead, Dhampir or Tiefling with the alternate ability to be healed by positive and negative. I have a Pitborn Tiefling that can use it. But GM makes it a standard to do instead of a swift like the Paladins LoH since ToC doesn’t really state it can be used to heal yourself. Even tho its basically a reverse LoH, but alas lol

One thing to consider is taking a level dip in Oracle.

There is an Oracle Curse that treats you as Undead for the purposes of Positive/Negative Energy (I believe it's called "Lich" from the Haunted Heroes Handbook). This lets you use your Touch of Corruption to heal yourself in exchange for a delay on Antipaladin ability progression.
