Two level dip in Vigilante Warlock or Cabalist - Witch or Wizard spell list?

Advice

For several reasons I would like a character I am working on to have two levels of Vigilante. Warlock gives access to the Wizard spell list, Cabalist to the Witch. I am mostly taking vigilante for RP reasons but the added benefit is that I could use wands and scrolls of either spell list without having to roll UMD.

Forgetting about Save or Suck/AoE for now and focusing only on utility, which spell list works better?

Sorc/wiz is by far the bigger spell list. It will cover much more utility.

AoE damage and most save or suck can't be done via wands & scrolls - the save DCs are too bad. Sure, there are minor exceptions (e.g. ill omen has no save) you don't just forget about those for now, you forget about them for good.

The Exchange

Not one of the choices you listed but I personally prefer the inquisitor spell list for utility. So Zealot Vigilante. If that works for you RP-wise.

Bear in mind that for higher-level scrolls you will have to make a caster level check and risk a mishap.

It really depends on the party, and what you want. Wizard list has the better spells to actually cast, like Silent Image, Endure Elements, or Protection from Evil, but I think Witch list has the better scroll/wand spells. Remove Sickness, Remove Blindness/Deafness, Remove Disease, Reincarnate, Raise Dead, and Resurrection can be lifesavers as scrolls, and depending how the GM (and you) stands towards Infernal Healing, having CLW on the list can be vital for wand usage.
