Unless you are dealing with creatures that are immune to non-lethal weapons I would just ignore it.
Non lethal is functionally very close to lethal damage. It still reduces the normal HP and even if the target gets knocked out you can just finish off your targets once the fight is over with lethal attacks (just at a +4 rather than a +6 if you didn't feel like swapping to a dagger or club) and if an ally gets the last hit in they just die anyway.

Is there currently any way to deal lethal damage with a nonlethal weapon (particularly a Whip) without taking the -2 attack penalty? Preferably PFS legal.
(Working on a Whip using Gymnast Swashbuckler)
Get access to the Scorpion Whip and you're good to go. It has identical stats to the whip except without Nonlethal.
It is Uncommon, but getting access to an Uncommon weapon is possible in a few different ways.

Hmm, the scorpion whip is from Extinction Curse which has not yet been sanctioned for PFS so it's illegal for now but might become legal later. Even when/if they sanction Extinction Curse that item has to appear on the chronicle sheet AND you have to play the scenario and you then allowed to purchase one copy of the item (on the chronicle sheet). That's a lot of hoops to jump through so I would look for another solution for now.

The Slime Whip is precedent for a non-nonlethal (just regular lethal?) whip. Perhaps you could acquire that or craft something similar?
