How's Irrisen? Who's in charge?

Given that Queen Anastasia Nikolaevna hits the big 120 next year and was just a non-magical Russian aristocrat, what is the state of things in Irrisen? Has she been alive this whole time, and do we know whether she is still ruler?

No clue, and we'll probably never find out. The Golarion timeline is never gonna 'catch up' with that of the real world (unless the game persists for the next hundred years, I guess), and in large part it depends on what deals PCs made with Baba Yaga in Reign of Winter. And whether anyone has made a concerted effort to remove her from power.

I mean, Anastasia certainly has the opportunity to learn magic in Golarion, and has access to resources to buy something like the Sun Orchid Elixir even without personal magic, so she could easily still be alive from an age perspective...but whether Baba Yaga allows a specific person to stay in charge there for that long is up in the air, as is how other people from Irrisen would react.

Maybe she's still queen. Maybe she retired. Maybe she's dead. Maybe Baba Yaga ate her. All things are possible.

Regardless, in the setting's current timeline, she's still a young woman and has just taken the throne, so all this speculation has little impact on most actual games.

Ah, I was under the impression that the current Golarion year is 2020 on Earth, and Reign of Winter was a "historical" AP of sorts. That resolves my question in a less-interesting way than I had hoped.

Yeah, AR 4713 (when Reign of Winter occurred) equates pretty directly to 1918 on Earth. So it's 1925 on Earth when it's AR 4720 on Golarion (the current year for the setting).

If Pathfinder (and humanity) is still around, I figure the 2135 adventure path is about Irrisen.

Yeah, Anastasia's still young and in charge, and likely will remain so unless a massive adventure spills over into her territory (which given her neighbors, I doubt).

And who's to say time passes at the same rate on different worlds?
There could be a future AP re: Earth 2020.
Starts low-key with a continental wildfire then segues into a plague, murder hornets, and civil uprisings. Might be a bit too soon for customers though.
