So I'm building a character for the Extinction Curse AP, and I figured with the whole performance aspect that a dancer-type character sounded pretty appropriate. I initially thought of something like a Dervish Dancer, but as far as I can tell that's not really a thing in 2e just yet.
With APG I guess the most straightforward answer now is Battle Dancer Swashbuckler, and while I do like the idea of buckling swashes I don't really know the best way to go about building one. I also like the idea of a Bard Dedication to double down on performing, but I'm not sure exactly how to integrate that.
In short, how would you build a combat dancer? Is Swashbuckler good enough on its own, or is there another class/dedication that's worth considering? Points if the flavor is dervish-y, but provided there's any dancing flavor at all I'm more than open to ideas.

Not sure the Bard lends itself to dancing. Yes, it's the Perform class, yet its magic centers around hidden knowledge & true names as found in song & lore. I guess one could tune it so one's dance reflects a deeper truth about reality in the same way. The PC could be a bit 'touched' by eldritch forces.
There's the bladed scarf (which James has promised he'd fix, yet for now supports a strength build) or the fighting fan (finesse, which works fine with classes that deliver a lot of bonus damage).
For Dervish, a Barbarian could work with the Rage as that notorious frenzied battle dance, just avoid agile weapons (so the scarf works for this). A scimitar may not be workable, but there are several finesse swords that would give similar imagery for other classes.
Also consider Monk, whose forms/Stances/feats could be dances of a sort. Lots of kinetic physicality in most of their abilities that could be framed as dancing. The lack of armor aids the imagery as well.
If you want to dance (Perform) in battle, Swashbuckler does seem the best route, perhaps with their weapons more as props (albeit deadly). If you get doubling rings, you could freely swap out one-handed weapons in the other hand, maybe even like a matador goes through several swords.
As well as Battle Dancer, the Gymnast could move dance-like.

You'll want the Acrobatic Performer Skill Feat.
It gives you two options to get panache: Tumble through vs. reflex dc and performance vs. will dc so you can target a bad save. Both operating off your acrobatics skill bonus.
As well, a goblin with unbreakable heritage and the first level feat bouncy goblin nets your a +2 circumstance bonus to tumble through checks. The virtuosic performer (dance) gives you a +1 circumstance bonus on dance performance checks.
