Dance Underfoot

Rules Discussion

Can anyone tell me what the point of Dance Underfoot is?
What benefits do you gain by sharing a space with an enemy?
That is aside from Toppling Dance

The benefit is basically removing the "If you don’t have enough Speed to move all the way through its space, you get the same effect as a failure." clause from the success result for the Tumble Through action.

That can be very helpful in saving some actions on occasions because it could take 25 feet of movement just to go from adjacent to a large enemy to adjacent but on the opposite side of that enemy, so you'd need more Speed or to spend actions getting into place, but with this feat you can Tumble Through from a little further away.

And then there's the situation of trying to Tumble Through a Huge or Gargantuan creature's space - without a ridiculously high Speed to cover the 30+ feet worth of difficult terrain, you'd automatically fail any attempt to Tumble Through, and this feat stops that from happening.

One thing that can also be added is that if you're sharing a space with a creature, it can't use any abilities that target a square or squares on you without hitting itself.

That is true, but seems like it'd only come up in very odd cases since it doesn't seem like these feats actually overwrite the general rule that you can't end your turn in a square occupied by another creature.

They facilitate moving through better than you otherwise could, but that seems to be all.

Edit to add: I just read Toppling Dance, and it implies that there is an intention for these feats to at least also remove the general rule of moving through a creature's space which says "...though you can end a move action in its square provided that you immediately use another move action to leave that square." if not also let you end your turn in the space of a creature, since otherwise adding the trip trait to your weapons wouldn't actually do anything.

Definite spot that some official clarification could be used.
