Swarm Strike Throwing

Nanocyte Class

So, I'm struggling to grasp the notion of a thrown unarmed strike. Mostly: do I need to recover it? I'm picturing it more like an unlimited ammo clip of thrown shards formed by nanites, but I'm not sure if this is correct.

Oh, I should have read that one closer. It reminds me of the protagonist from Prototype. Looks fun. :)

I expect it's more of an "infinite ammo equivalent" situation ?

I do wonder why they went for the thrown property, rather than allowing it to be treated as either a melee or a ranged unarmed strike (something we've already seen).

Much happier with it being a thrown property. Something about the 'ranged unarmed strike' makes my teeth hurt.

The thrown property simplifies things. Thrown uses strength to hit, and so it has no issues inheriting "constitution instead of strength". It also makes a little more sense.
