Healers tools and repair kits need replacing?

Rules Discussion

Trying to get into minutiae, do you have to purchase new healers tools and repair kits after each use?

In my mind it makes sense, for if you use bandages from a first aid kit, you need to restock. However, I really don't see that written anywhere?

So.. Is it necessary to resupply your kits, or do you just have it and that's good enough?

No. They aren't consumed.

As far as I know, the only kit that call's out a need for replacement is the Thieves Tools, and that is only because your picks can be broken on a critical failure.

I think the idea is that your character generally replenishes anything used from the kit during preparations or some other appropriate time. For instance, an Alchemist Tools doesn't require you to replace vials, even though you are probably using them at a prodigious rate for bombs and elixers.

And things like that and say, the pitons and rope from a climbing kit are generally available and cheap enough that an adventurer wouldn't have an issue making/reclaiming/finding a replacement for it. So why bog the player down with having to manage things like that?
