When you gain the spellstrike(variant multiclassing, magus) class feature at 11th what caster level do you come in at? Do you start as a 2nd lvl per when a normal magus would gain this feature? Do you start at level -2 like the arcane pool class feature? I can not find the answer to the question. Thanks
You are whatever CL you are with your parent class.
VMC Magus doesn't give you any spellcasting ability.
You have to already have spells and spell slots, and therefore a Caster Level, in order to use the Spellstrike granted by VMC.
You still can only use Magus spells, but they use whatever existing spell slots you already possess from your parent class.
So spellstrike is a complete waste if the main class is Fighter. Thanks.
