I'm sure some of you remember the classic Dragon magazine adventure "Chagmat" from issue 63. I"m looking to revisit it and was curious if anyone had created/updated the Chagmat using the rules from the Advanced Race Guide?
I was thinking of possibly using the Werespider (Bestiary 6) as an inspiration/template as well. If any of you ladies or gentlemen has some advice on creating with the ARG rules, I'd truly appreciate it.

I was wanting to stay a little truer to the original Chagmat as presented in the module, so here's what I came up with. If I counted right, this comes out to 21 RP.
Please let me know what you think. Also, Monstrous Humanoid or Aberration?
Chagmat
Chagmat are a race of humanoid spiders. They normally dwell in remote locations far from civilization. While not necessarily antisocial, the chagmat avoid outsiders as a general rule.
In their secluded homes, the chagmat live a simple life, hunting for food and raising their young. Most surprising to discover is that the chagmat are fine craftsmen, creating high-quality tools, weapons, and other items.
Personality: The chagmat are a fairly docile people, however, woe be to someone who threatens the chagmats’ lair. The spider-folk react quickly and in overwhelming fashion to perceived threats.
Physical Description: Chagmat look like humanoid spiders. They have six arms branching off a human-like torso, two legs supporting the body, the fanged mouthparts of a spider, and eight eyes clustered where a human’s eyes would be located. A typical chagmat has coloration reminiscent of wolf spiders, although other colorations have been reported.
Chagmat Racial Traits:
- +2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, –2 Intelligence: Chagmat share the quickness and observational skills of their spider kin, but their alien minds see the world in their own unique way.
- Medium: Chagmat are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to size.
- Normal Speed: Chagmat have a base speed of 30 feet.
- Darkvision: Chagmat can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
- Expert Climber: Chagmat have a climb speed of 20 feet, and gain a +16 racial bonus on Climb checks. Furthermore, Chagmat can cling to cave walls and even ceilings as long as the surface has hand- and foot-holds. Chagmat are treated as being constantly under the effects of a nonmagical spider climb spell, save that they cannot cling to smooth surfaces.
- Extra Arms: Chagmat possess four extra arms extending from their torso. A chagmat can wield multiple weapons, but only one hand is its primary hand, and all others are off hands. They can also use its hands for other purposes that require free hands.
- Keen Senses: Chagmat receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.
- Silent Hunter: Chagmat reduce the penalty for using Stealth while moving by 5 and can make Stealth checks while running at a -20 penalty.
- Stalker: Perception and Stealth are always class skills for Chagmat.
- Languages: Chagmat begin play speaking Common and Chagmat. Chagmat with high intelligence scores can choose from the following: any human language, Terran, Undercommon.
