I was thinking about posting about my current attempts to convert Souls for Smugglers Shiv into 2E, including experience from the actual gameplay whilst also requesting any advice or input along the way
Now it seems like this could either go under:
- General Discussion : as a general discussion on 2E gameplay
- Advice : because I would invariably like some at points
- Conversions: because it is one (but this board seems to have less traffic)
- Serpent's Skull Board : Because that is the adventure
The last one has very little traffic now so I don't think will be overly useful.
Conversions would probably make the most sense but I won't be immediately posting files
(I do intend to post to the Discord but that also has limited traffic on the Serpent Skull side of things)
So what do people think about where to post? I don't really want something flagged for moving straight away...
Generally speaking, it seems most people post their conversion work to that particular adventure path's board. More people are likely to look in there, after all, it's great traffic.
As Grankless said, conversions in a single adventure path tend to be posted in that adventure path's subforum.
More general discussions on PF1 to PF2 conversions are posted in the Conversions subforum, "For discussion of converting non-Pathfinder Second Edition content to Pathfinder Second Edition." Since people are more interested in playing an adventure path in PF2 than about conversions in general, this gets less traffic. Nevertheless, some people post good conversion methods, so it is worth reading.

Perhaps I will post something to see if there is any response and then stop if there is no real response

Would love to hear about it in A Series of Dice-Based Events. Plenty of people interested in discussing their own experience and working on more :)

Honestly, I'd urge you to keep going even if there's marginal response. I know it feels weird posting into the seeming void, but a few months down the road, some other GM is going to want to convert Serpent's Skull to P2e, and there your thread will be to help them!
It's always fun to see old AP fora lurch back to life when someone starts running them again and goes looking for the wisdom of GMs immemorial.

I thought I would flag that I have posted my conversion into the Serpent's Skull forum as recommended and will look to add relevant commentary from running it in the coming days and as I go
Currently unsure whether to make it just general observations (such as the starting combat being staggered was surprisingly tough as new Level -1 creatures and new poison is a lot harder than the 1E Ochre Eurypterids).
Or - a kind of full write up. Probably the former due to time (and re: the first session - memory)
