A 2nd level Druid question

With animal form, choosing snake at 2nd level, damage from a Bite is 2d4 +1d6 poison.

Is the poison just a Type of damage? Is it anything to Save against?

That's correct. It's just a type of Damage. There is no Save.

Yeah, there are also poisons that do require a Save, but anything listed as just "+1d6 poison damage" or something similar is just gonna be raw damage, which does not provoke a Save.
